[It was good that by now Luz had learned how to stop herself from obtaining memory through touch: it would have likely resulted in a spiral of images of her and Eda, from their times in the Boiling Isles to the ones they had here, where Eda had sewn her cosplay costumes, had given her money so she could get things for school, had looked after her, time and again.
And with all of that, Luz knew she was going to have to try and pretend everything was normal, and the idea of it just made her want to lie in bed and shut out the world. Of course, now she needed a place to do that, and she knew better than to be that ungrateful].
