[Grandpa music. That's all Katsuki can think, watching this video. The kid is into grandpa music. Definitely from another time period. A very different time period.

And for a while he's kind of stumped because that is so far from his tastes it's ridiculous. But he goes back and listens again. Watches again. Rereads the bit about liking her dance. And... the gears start turning as he goes back to youtube with a thought.

Happy, upbeat, fun dance. It's not really Katsuki's taste buuut...]

[Katsuki is not feeling Abba at all. But the kid seems pretty damn excited about it. So. That's good.

He spends some time kind of clicking around from that video. Just seeing if anything really jumps out at him. He's not expecting anything to, but it kind of feels like a game where victory could be obtained by finding something they both like...

He kind of clicks through, half-listening to and then skipping over some things before something catches his eye. Not for the music but for the video.]

Dunno about the song but this video is pretty cool?

[ Good recovery from the sea monster scare... He feels pretty confident that that's been dispelled and swept under the mat. They're having a good rapport sharing music now. Alberto's never shared music back and forth with someone before. He's loving it. Doesn't even matter that Katsuki's not vibing with his music recs as much as Alberto is with Katsuki's. The attention alone is validating. ]

[ That is a deeply dramatic sounding song, even without understanding the lyrics... and entirely sadder than one might expect from Alberto? For it to apparently be one of his favorite songs ever? Full of surprises, indeed. ]

[Katsuki gives it a listen once through and decides even if it's still kind of old-timey and outside his usual taste, he likes her voice? He takes a moment to look up the lyrics out of curiosity. Especially since Alberto is directly connecting it to his friend going away. He's curious what she's singing about.

It's... not what he was expecting? But he decides to disregard the romantic connotation and focus on the core feeling of it. Loss. Loneliness. He can understand that.]

[Because Katsuki sure didn't. He'd spent a lot of time being unreasonably mad at Izuku for going to America even if it wasn't Izuku's choice. Never considered letters... and that's another little detail there. Another tiny connection. Something as simple as a close friend moving away. And the feelings that brings.

[ That... is a way more open and vulnerable and poignant answer than anticipated, more than likely? This bratty wild child from the forest, who's served such fuckin' attitude half the time they've talked, takes a totally different tone talking about his friend. It's bittersweet but that doesn't seem to discourage him at all from talking about it. So, indeed, very different from Katsuki's experience with Izuku. And yet another little "surprise" about Alberto — this certain softness.

And Katsuki's song hits that soft spot dead-on. Oof. He's not gonna admit he cried a little at one point, ahem, but he smiled through most of it. Right on the nose for him and Luca and Katsuki doesn't even realize how much. ~~but his writer surely does lol~~ ]
