Okay, great! I'll be there in a few minutes.

[ It takes her about fifteen minutes to get to the boys' place, and when she arrives she knocks gently on the door. ]

[ Alberto's fairly quick to answer the door, already up and about. He's wearing a wide grin and his favorite outfit, with jeans that have been doodled on, having picked out the clothes he likes the most just for the occasion; he's taking pleasure in just the simple little things today. There's light upbeat music playing in the background, and the gentle sounds of Luca putzing around in the kitchen. Cozy and sunny as it is, the apartment looks even crazier than last Luisa saw it, a lot more of a lot more scattered around now... More books, more toys, both good things for kids to have. There's more art by the boys pinned up on the walls — or drawn onto the walls directly (even onto the ceiling somehow?), an odd mix of space themed and sea themed doodles... But notably, sitting in the center of their glass top, seashell-filled coffee table: a motorcycle helmet, and the box and wrapping paper it came in somewhere off to the side. He's totally just been staring at it and smiling off and on all morning since Bruno left. He's probably gonna be doing that for a lot longer, too.

But for now, he's smiling at Luisa, the second Madrigal in his home today, opening his arms to greet her with a hug (if her hands are free). He's already feeling a bit verklempt, so he may or may not feel a bit schmaltzy about falling in with this family the way he has... Don't worry, he'll do his best to play it cool. ]

Luisa~! ¡Buenos días! Come va?

[ Despite the lingering sadness from Mirabel's recent departure, seeing Alberto looking so cheerful gets a smile on Luisa's face as well. She's holding a box in one hand, high enough that Alberto wouldn't be able to see the top of it, but the other hand is perfectly free to give him a hug. ]

Morning, Alberto! I'm doing okay. [ She's not, actually, but she isn't about to bring him down on his special day. ] I don't wanna keep you too long, I know you've got stuff to do. I just wanted to drop this off for you.

[ She finally lowers the box, which turns out to be a pastry box, and a number of decorated cupcakes could be seen from the cellophane opening in the top. ]

[ Alberto takes the box, but doesn't open it immediately. Just looks up between Luisa and the box a couple times, then steps further inside to set it down on the cluttered desk near the door. He waves her in to at least stay for a moment, hesitating to open the box at first, but goes ahead once she can watch him open it. ]

Prego, prego... You didn't need to get me a gift, Luisa, thank you... Earlier this morning, I already saw— ...Awww...~!

[ He cuts himself off mid-sentence when he sees what's inside, his face lighting up in amazement. He's never had cupcakes, and never seen such elaborately decorative desserts. Genuinely strikes him as adorable, he's visibly charmed, staring into the box with almost twinkling eyes. After a beat, though, he abruptly launches himself into Luisa for another hug, tighter now that her hands are free. ]

[ She does need to go, really, but she steps inside anyway, because a part of her is curious to see how he'll react to what she'd gotten him.

And it's definitely worth it, seeing the way his face seems to just absolutely light up. The second hug is a bit unexpected, but she catches him easily and squeezes back, careful as always. ]

I take it you like them?

Yes~! Ha, yes, of course I do!

[ He pulls back, grinning ear-to-ear, and peeks inside the box again. ]

They're so pretty... I almost feel bad eating them.

[ He glances to Luisa, pausing as his elated grin melts into more of a smirk, and he crinkles his nose at her playfully. ]

...Almost, hah. Here, you've gotta eat one with me!

[ He reaches in the box right away, carefully selecting "the best" ones (by what criteria he's judging is anyone's guess) and hands her one with a bright grin again. ]

[ She laughs a little, though is surprised when he offers her one. She takes it carefully, but doesn't bite into it yet. ]

Are you sure? There are enough for you and Luca to split them evenly.

It's fine, it's fine! You're the one who got them, you can't not try one, right?

[ Is that how it works, Alberto? He's none too experienced at giving gifts... He figures worst case scenario, either he and Luca split the odd-numbered one in half together, ooor Alberto eats it on his own, which he won't feel too bad about, since it's his birthday. Luca wouldn't care. He raises his cupcake to hers and pretends to toast it like a wine glass, something he saw in a movie, tipping it as if to cheers her. ]

Cin-cin~

[ ...Well, at least he got the expression right, if not the occasion. ]

[ That's definitely not how it works, but if it makes him happy then she doesn't really mind. And though she won't admit it out loud, she is a bit curious about how the cupcake would taste. She knows all the decorations are edible, but that's about it.

So with a small laugh, she lightly taps her cupcake against his. ]

¡Feliz cumpleaños!

[ Then, after peeling back some of the paper, she carefully takes a bite. ]

[ Thank goodness Luisa peeled back the paper and took a bite first, because Alberto was absolutely about to eat it with the wrapper and all, before noticing her peeling it back stills his hand. He follows her lead by taking the paper off, buuut she loses him after that, as he shoves the whole thing in his mouth to eat it all in one bite. It's impressive he can fit an entire cupcake in his mouth, but hey, he has many talents...! Once the flavor registers on his tongue, though, his face lights up, looking to Luisa with a bright, excited look, even while chewing with his cheeks full of cake. It's a hit, clearly. Just... a little hard to watch. ]

Mmm~!

[ At least he eats it whole fast, though, which is... a-also a little hard to watch. ]

[ It actually really is impressive that he can fit the whole thing in his mouth. Normally Luisa might try to say something, but thankfully(?) the flavor of the cupcake distracts her, and she smiles herself as she swallows her own mouthful. ]

Wow, that's really good!

[ And...well yes, she knew it would be, of course. She wouldn't have gotten it for him otherwise. But somehow she hadn't expected it to taste that good. ]

[ It takes Alberto a second to chew enough to even speak, but once he can, he talks with his mouth full, unsurprisingly. But he's just as enthusiastic as she is, definitely even more so. ]

Mmhmm~! Ish grea'~ [...aaand swallows. ]

You made these, Luisa?

[ She ducks her head, a bit embarrassed as she shakes it. ] Ah no, not me. I got it at a bakery. But they were custom made, so they were made special for you.

[ Another wide smile spreads across his face, and after a beat, he abruptly launches himself into another quick, tight hug. Kid's never been given so many gifts before, between Luisa, Bruno and Luca. He's verklempt. ]
