[ Alberto gives him an incredulous look, shaking his head emphatically and waving his hands in exasperation, whispering still. ]
What?! No! No, don't break anything! Ma, aspetta, silenzio—
[ He looks to Luffy warily, turns back to glance at his spread of papers at his desk (half-math homework, half-doodles-to-distract-him-from-math-homework...), then throws another glance to the door again, before looking back to Luffy. He places a finger to his lips for Luffy to be quiet, holding up his hands to say wait... Then dashes over to the door and puts his ear to it, listening for any approaching footsteps. Coast sounds clear, so he runs over to his desk and stuffs everything into his backpack, as quickly and quietly as he can, before returning to the window with a frown and wild eyes. He shoos Luffy away, then chucks his backpack out the window, uncaring whether Luffy catches it or not. And with a natural talent for climbing around like a little monkey, Alberto easily finds his footing to crawl right out the open window, joining Luffy in the outside world. ]
That whole last line went straight over his head. He doesn't know what any of that meant, so he just blinks at Alberto for a few moments. But, thankfully, he's at least quiet now.
And, once Alberto has decided that yes, he wants to come with him, he grins. He grabs his backpack when he throws it out and hands it to him once he's ready to leave.
[ He takes his backpack and cases the scene, making sure the school guard is still in his usual post at the main entrance, waving at Luffy to lower his voice again and hold tight. Always gesturing, naturally — Luffy will probably pick up these little bits of Italian easily over time if only by the grace that half the language is spoken with the hands. When the coast seems clear, though, Alberto gestures with a nod toward the back gate by the empty bike racks, and waves Luffy along to follow him. ]
...Okay, this way, dai. Let's gooo— now. Subito, andiamo!
[ Aaand then takes off running. Sprinting. Because no one will suspect them if they run, right? He tries to take Luffy by the wrist to tug him along, out of habit of just dragging others along into his rash decisions, but it... probably doesn't go as he was expecting, since most of his friends aren't very stretchy... Doesn't stop him, though, if he even notices. Alberto starts running and doesn't look back til they're well outside school grounds. ]
Having non-stretchy friends is definitely the norm! Is understandable that Alberto wouldn't take Luffy's stretchiness into account. For a few minutes, Luffy follows him, laughing a but but quieting when shushed. He still laughs quietly, though.
Then, Alberto takes his arm and tries to pull him along and learns a very interesting lesson. Strrrreeeetch--
Snap!
Luffy's arm snaps back, like a rubber band, bringing Alberto tumbling back into his chest. At least Luffy was prepared for this, so besides stumbling back a step, they don't really go tumbling down to the ground.
Careful! You can't pull on me like regular people! I'm still a rubber man!
But, besides that small hiccup, they manage to get out of the school just fine!
[ Alberto absolutely forgot about the rubberiness, and gapes at Luffy with wild eyes when he's thrust backwards. Gravity, man... It will never cease to astound him.
Once they've collected themselves and made it out without detection, Alberto successfully sprung from detention, they take to the streets. ]
Okay, so what's your adventure? Where're we going?
First, we go around town! And find all the cool kinds of places we can get into!
Yes, this is a multi-step adventure. No, he doesn't exactly have the other steps planned out yet. But he's sure they'll find something else to make an adventure!
